Social Determinants of Health, sometimes simply referred to as SDoH, are a board set of circumstances that conspire to affect, either positively or negatively, one’s state of health and lifespan. Last week, I along with four other local ‘community development warriors’ (those in the picture), attended a national conference along with 650 colleagues on this topic.

Your Chamber’s Mission is: “The Prosperity of Commerce, Communities, Culture, and Citizens here in the Greater Susquehanna Valley." Mr. Franklin's quote above about wealth could easily read true prosperity is having health and knowledge of self.

Awakening on the morning after our economic forecast to the horrific images of a collapsing interstate highway bridge in the Baltimore Harbor our thoughts were of the human tragedy and material destruction. Very quickly, at least for me, I reflected on the words spoken by Anirban Basu just 13-hours prior to the bridge collapse.
