Chamber to Host April Monthly Meeting on Becoming a Reentry Friendly Community
“Believe you can, and you’re halfway there.”
– Theodore Roosevelt
The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce invites members and community leaders to attend its April Monthly Meeting on Monday, April 21st from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Berks Technical Institute (BTI), formerly McCann School of Business, located at 7495 West Branch Highway (behind McDonald’s) in Lewisburg.
This month’s meeting will center around a crucial and timely topic: “Becoming a Reentry Friendly Community.” The presentation will explore strategies, challenges, and opportunities tied to helping previously incarcerated individuals reintegrate successfully into society. As the need for a stronger, more inclusive workforce continues to grow, the business community has a unique and powerful role to play in promoting second chances and unlocking untapped potential.
Following the presentation, attendees will hear from a panel of subject matter experts. These individuals, many of whom have lived experience with the justice system and successful reentry, will share firsthand insights and answer questions about the pathways to meaningful reintegration. Their stories and perspectives will shed light on the barriers returning citizens face — and the support that help them become productive and contributing members of our communities.
This event underscores the Chamber’s commitment to inclusive economic development and workforce innovation. By fostering open dialogue and highlighting real-world solutions, the April Monthly Meeting aims to inspire local businesses and leaders to consider how they can support a more reentry-friendly environment.
All Chamber members and interested community stakeholders are encouraged to attend this important session. Together, we can make a difference — one opportunity at a time – ensuring that our best days lie just ahead.
