This prestigious event honors 120 outstanding high school students from nine public and private schools across our Valley. These students—our “Young Americans”—have been selected by their schools for their exceptional character, leadership, academic achievement, and commitment to service. As they prepare to graduate and embark on new journeys, we take this opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and potential.
Each Young American honoree represents the best of their generation. Their optimism, resilience, and dedication are exactly what our communities and workplaces need to build a brighter future.
In addition to the student recognitions, the evening will feature two special highlights:
- Essay Contest Winner: This year’s reception includes the awarding of the annual Young Americans Essay Contest. Finalists have written compelling pieces exploring what it means to be a leader in today’s world. One student will be named the overall winner during the event, with their essay read aloud as a centerpiece of the evening’s program.
- College and Career Ready Champion Awards: We are also proud to honor the educators, administrators, and mentors who go above and beyond to prepare students for life beyond high school. These College and Career Ready Champions have made a lasting impact in their schools and communities by equipping students with the skills, confidence, and guidance needed to succeed in the real world. Their work represents the very spirit of partnership between education and business.
