Posted: 09/13/2026

Position: Outreach Coordinator
Reports To: Operations Manager (primary) Executive Director (secondary)
Hours: Part-time (24 hours)
Primary Focus: Outreach from Covation Center to Community and prospective members, potential program partners, and funding partners
Hourly Rate $25/hr

About you:
You are friendly, articulate, and unafraid to talk to strangers. You make friends in the checkout line at the supermarket, and your friends say you could sell an axe to a lumberman. You are comfortable in a selling mindset, and you believe ardently in The Covation Center’s mission of supporting small business owners and entrepreneurs, creating community between them, and participating in economic development outreach and initiatives that directly positively impact Pennsylvania’s Main Streets.
About the role:
You are the person who goes out into the community and represents the Covation Center. Some days you’ll be in the office planning and reporting, most days, however, you’ll be out in the community attending events, meeting with potential partners and funders for the Covation Center, and generally working to enhance our suite of services. This role is part-time, roughly 24 hours/week, you will be in charge of your own schedule, and you will rarely work consistent hours.
Here’s some of what you’ll do:
Attend key external events including Chamber of Commerce meetings, Williamsport Business Association gatherings, and other relevant local business community events
Attend external events with a specific goal, not just presence — identify potential members, deepen partner relationships, or gather intelligence on what the local business community needs
Using existing systems and infrastructure (spreadsheets, clickup, slack) track and document each new contact, follow up promptly, and report to team monthly.
Maintain and update a running list of community contacts, potential members, and referral sources
Represent Covation's mission and programs accurately and compellingly in all external conversations
You Bring:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Enough tech savvy to learn Airtable, Clickup, communication in Go High Level, and Slack.
Strong self-motivation
The ability to learn and understand complex, diverse information
An ethos of self-improvement/enrichment
Strong problem-solving skills
A heart for service and community
The ability to bring suggestions to leadership for improvement of processes/systems
Tireless follow-up both with our team internally and with potential partners externally
Familiarity with digital workspaces (Google Drive and related apps, webinar tools)
Extras We’d Love:
A bent toward gathering images and short videos that capture impact in the community or reflect the work we do
Able to identify strategic opportunities (beyond existing memberships)
A background in B2B sales or business development
Existing knowledge of Coworking and Small Business Development
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience
