Position Summary:
The Commercial Construction Plumber installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems in commercial buildings and facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, building codes, and company standards. The plumber works closely with other trades to ensure successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, assemble, and repair pipes, fittings, fixtures, and other plumbing systems used for water distribution, drainage, and gas lines in commercial construction projects.

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and sequence of plumbing installations.

Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles using hand and power tools.

Test plumbing systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.

Ensure all installations comply with applicable plumbing codes and safety regulations.

Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades to coordinate job progress and resolve issues.

Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area.

Troubleshoot plumbing problems and make necessary repairs efficiently.

Document materials used, work performed, and time spent on each project.

Train and assist apprentices or helpers as needed.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program preferred.

Minimum 3–5 years of commercial plumbing experience.

Thorough knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and safety standards.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work.

Comfortable working in tight spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
Work Environment:

Work performed primarily on active commercial construction sites.

Full-time position; overtime or weekend work may be required based on project needs.
