Event Description:
Join the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate local non-profit organizations and learn about their vision for service to the community. Interested in serving on a Board of Directors, learning more about that charitable organization that your company supports, or connecting with organizations that make a difference? This is the event for you!
Our Guest Speaker for the luncheon is Linda Brown, Chief Administrative Officer with Service 1st Federal Credit Union, who has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years. Responsible for setting the strategic direction of the credit union in the areas of marketing, human resources, member service, training, security and information systems, Linda is committed to innovating and advancing the credit union movement.
Her commitment to her work is top-notch, but her non-profit service truly sets Linda apart as a community leader. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Rural Business Innovation, serves on the steering committees for the Central Susquehanna Community Foundation?s Women?s Giving Circle and Bridges out of Poverty. She?s a member of Soroptimist International of Montour County, the Montour County Industrial Development Authority, and Greater Susquehanna Valley Toastmaster. She serves as Treasurer of the Board for the Ronald McDonald House of Danville, and volunteers with the March of Dimes.
An alumnus, past president, and incredible advocate for Leadership Susquehanna Valley, Linda recently completed her second term on the Leadership Susquehanna Valley Board of Directors, but remains involved with its Public Relations Committee.
Given her breadth and depth of service to the Valley?s non-profits, Linda is uniquely positioned to speak to the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber?s members about ways that non-profits can improve and improve their costs. She?s an advocate for active committees, measuring success by an organization?s mission statement, engaging community partners to prevent overlap of services, and has had recent success in helping non-profits to save $20,000/year by analyzing employee healthcare costs. She?s speak to the chamber about ways to use marketing and Public Relations tools to get the word out, and will also speak on the importance of audits and accountability.
Interested in setting up a booth for YOUR nonprofit organization? There is still space available! For member non-profit organizations it's only $30 to set-up a booth where you will network with luncheon attendees. Lunch will also be provided for two people from your organization! Register TODAY!
**All Non-Profit Vendors must register before July 27th to ensure a table is secured for use!**
