GSVYP Paddle Party
2021 GSVYP Paddle Party
What could be more fun than a Saturday on the West Branch of the Susquehanna River floating along in the watercraft of your choice (well almost any choice—cruise ships will hit bottom though) with a group of wonderful people?
On Saturday, September 11th the Greater Susquehanna Valley Young Professionals invite you to push away from the go-go-go of your busy lives to meet up at Milton State Park to shove off for a late morning/early afternoon ‘Paddle Party.’
The actual location of Bic’s is 2832 State Route 405, Milton and this location serves as the base for the paddle party. This annual event hosted by your Chamber’s Young Professionals is all about getting into the great outdoors and nature, getting to know our area better and most importantly getting to know your fellow Chamber members much better. Think about it, how well do you really know a person until you see how well they navigate a kayak on one of North America’s oldest rivers?
Beginning at 10 am and wrapping up by 4 pm, the cost of this year’s Paddle Party is $30 and includes a kayak with gear, or for $10 you can bring your own watercraft and gear and veterans can participate for FREE. Upriver delivery service will be provided by Bic’s staff and then you and the whole armada will make your way back down the river to Bic’s base camp for an afternoon of food and beverages that are included with your registration. No previous kayaking experience is required, as you will be surrounded by skilled paddlers for the entire trip.
Thanks to Geisinger for being our event sponsor. Registration is required and is capped at 50 paddlers – so don’t wait, register today. Click the ‘Register Now’ button above to join us.
