Economic Revitalization in the Lower Anthracite Coal Region:
A Convening Sponsored by Campus Compact in partnership with the Member's Choice Anthracite Economic Summit
In conjunction with Campus Compact of Pennsylvania and New York, as well as its university partners, Bloomsburg University, Bucknell University, and Susquehanna University, the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to convene its Member's Choice Anthracite Summit.
This year's summit will help the universities, local business, and critical partners to:
Learn about best practices for economic revitalization as begun in similar communities.
Develop strategic goals for the City of Shamokin and surrounding areas.
Build collaborative partnerships with area universities, local business and community partners for the future success of the Lower Anthracite Coal Region.
Keynote Speakers:
Ms. Aaron Gantz, Executive Director of Downtown Revitalization
at the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance
Mr. Andrew Kleiner, Director of Community Outreach and
Redevelopment, Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp.
The Summit will include light breakfast and lunch. A panel discussion and breakout sessions will be organized in addition to the keynote speakers.
