Valley’s Largest ‘Potential’ Workforce Gathering Returns March 5th
Building on the strong momentum of last year’s Multi-School District Career Fair, the Greater Susquehanna Valley is preparing to host the largest gathering of students, our future workforce, anywhere in the region this year. The 2026 Career Fair will take place on Wednesday, March 5th, at the Garrett Field House on the Susquehanna University campus, and interest from both schools and employers is already running high.
Career fairs play a critical role for employers. They offer a rare opportunity to connect face-to-face with emerging talent, build early awareness of career pathways, and strengthen the local workforce pipeline. For many employers, these events are where first impressions are made. Company representatives introduce students to in-demand industries, skilled trades, internships, apprenticeships, high priority occupations, and long-term career opportunities right here in the Greater Susquehanna Valley.
Thanks to the generous support of the Community Services Organization (CSO), venue costs for this year’s event have been fully covered. In addition, Susquehanna University is once again demonstrating its strong community spirit by making its facilities available at a highly reduced cost. Transportation for students is also being coordinated and underwritten to ensure maximum participation. Your Chamber will make sure that all exhibitors and vendors receive great hospitality during the Career Fair.
The Career Fair is open to high school juniors and seniors, with planners expecting participation from more than 1,000 students across five school districts: Midd-West, Mifflinburg, Lewisburg, Selinsgrove, and Shikellamy. Junior participation is especially strong, as many seniors from these districts will also attend through their SUN Tech programs.
Last year, approximately 35 organizations participated. This year, planners are targeting 50 employers and organizations, utilizing the entire Field House, with vendors grouped into Career Clusters. These clusters include, but are not limited to, healthcare, manufacturing, skilled trades, business and finance, technology, education, and public service. These clusters will maximize exposure and meaningful conversations. Service organizations such as CareerLink, Yes to the Future, and many post-secondary institutions will also be represented.
The vendor setup fee is just $50, with the goal of covering this year’s costs and while building a sustaining fund for future career fairs and other valley-specific workforce recruitment and retention efforts.
Your future workforce will be gathered in the Susquehanna University fieldhouse on March 5th. To be part of the valley’s most impactful workforce event of the year, register today at gsvcc.org.
By working together, our best days lie just ahead.
