Building Tomorrow’s Workforce: Career Fair Returns Bigger Than Ever

Last year, the inaugural multi-school district Career Fair at Susquehanna University brought nearly 700 students face-to-face with 35 local employers. Their tables, most staffed by Chamber members, became treasure troves of career and employment opportunities. By bringing together students, educators, and industry professionals under one roof, the event marked a significant step forward in workforce development for the Greater Susquehanna Valley.

The energy in the field house that day was undeniable, and the connections made that day are already helping shape career pathways across our region. Now, the Career Fair returns for its second year on Thursday, March 5thand it’s growing in a big way.

This all-day event will once again facilitate crucial connections between students and local businesses, laying the groundwork for a stronger economic future. We are on track welcoming as many as 1,100 students and have set an ambitious goal of 50 valley employerand organizations or more to speak with the students and their teachers. That means more conversations, more exposure to real-world career opportunities, and more alignment between classroom learning and workforce needs.

By investing our efforts in career readiness and workforce alignment, your Chamber is actively shaping the next generation of professionals who will contribute to the prosperity of every citizen in the Greater Susquehanna Valley. This is more than a career fair. In the Susquehanna University Field House on March 5th, you will experience a strategic workforce initiative designed to strengthen our regional economy for years to come.

Are you hiring? Do you want our valley’s best and brightest students to know about careers at your organization? Do you want local teachers and guidance counselors to talk about the good work that your organization does every day? If so, we encourage you to register today at gsvcc.org and reserve your booth.

Let’s build the future, together.

By working together, our best days lie just ahead.
