We're quickly approaching the Hunger Coalition 5K & All-Abilities Walk on April 22nd!! This event acts as one of the Coalition's main fundraisers to ensure we have funds dedicated to Hunger Coalition activities as well as make our presence known in the community. Below are a few ways you all can get involved as HC members to help make this event a success:
- Register to participate as a runner or walker. All registrants will receive a finisher's certificate and top runners by age group will receive prizes donated by local businesses. See all the details & register at: https://runsignup.com/Race/PA/Lewisburg/CAAHungerCoalition5k
- Volunteer to help with day-of tasks. We have multiple volunteer shifts available throughout the morning including set-up, registration table, and course monitors. Take a look at the shifts and sign up at: https://givepul.se/8uym9q
- Sign-up to table at the event. We welcome any organization that is a part of the Hunger Coalition to use the 5K as an outreach opportunity. Last year, we found that having outreach tables on the courtyard was a great way to put a face to who all made up the Hunger Coalition and make the 5K feel like a real community event. - Help spread the word! CAA's Facebook & Instagram pages have an event page and posts about the Hunger Coalition 5K. Please share these social media posts widely! We also have posters available if anyone is interested in using print materials to help us advertise.
