To provide Human Resources and business professionals with legal and employment updates and actionable strategies to address the needs of the workforce, Kim Nash, owner of THriv, Inc., and Angela Hummel, owner of Angela Hummel Consulting, have joined forces to offer their third annual State of the Workforce Seminar on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 8:30am-12pm at the Milton campus of Christ Wesleyan Church.
This half-day seminar provides an opportunity for Human Resources and business professionals, such as CEOs, small business owners, office managers, non-profit executive directors, workforce development and operations staff to explore topics related to recruitment and retention. According to Kim Nash and Angela Hummel, who will be presenting at the seminar: “From a Human Resources perspective, we are all facing the same struggles and concerns, and this a chance to bring everyone together, learn from each other, and network.”
The main topics will include important employment law and legal updates from Renee Mattei Montgomery, Esq., Attorney at Eckert, Seamans, Cherin, and Mellott, one of the event sponsors. In an interactive, podcast-style learning format, Kim Nash and Angela Hummel will explore the state of employee recruitment and engagement in today’s workplace, and participants will leave with practical, actionable steps to take back to their organizations. The seminar has also been approved for continuing education credits for HR professionals through SHRM and HRCI.
The seminar is being held on the campus of Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton, PA. While not a faith-based seminar in content, according to Anna Belle Deitrick, HR/Finance Director at CWC: “Christ Wesleyan has been the host of the seminar since its inception to invite the community to become acquainted with our campus and all that is offered here.”
