Instructor: Katharina Stuerzl, CPC, SHRM-CP
Katharina Stuerzl is coordinator of career services and instructor of business at Penn State Schuylkill, a certified life and leadership coach, as well as former human resources professional with a local manufacturing company Consortium partner MAE-Eitel. She earned her Master of Arts in North American studies from University of Cologne, and her Bachelor of Arts in German linguistics and English and American Literary and Cultural studies from University of Paderborn, both located in Germany.
Katharina challenges those she works with to take responsibility for their own thoughts, feelings, and actions as a path to overcome limiting beliefs, roadblocks, and to build resilience. Leaving outside validation and the fear of judgement behind, allows for her vision to come alive; empowering young professionals and leaders to lead from the heart both, themselves, and other people. Reducing employee turnover from 22% to 4% was one of her great successes, however, what truly mattered to her is when other companies attempted to recruit employees away with a greater pay and your employees respond with “Thank you, but you can’t put a dollar amount on being seen, valued, heard, and supported in both my personal and professional development journey; I have no interest leaving my company”.
Investment: $325, Discounts are available to the Consortium of Co-Op Employers, Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce Members, and Penn State faculty and staff.
