SUN AREA OFFERS PORTABLE SAWMILL DEMONSTRATIONS
The Wood, Design & Technology program at the SUN Area Technical Institute, a Chamber and a Keystone Wood Products Association member, visited the Midd-West High School's farm to give students a hands-on lumber sawing demonstration.
The school district provided several logs that were milled into slabs and dimensional lumber using a portable sawmill and edge saw. Midd-West students stacked the freshly cut lumber in their solar kiln to dry for future use in their wood products program.
