Leadership Susquehanna Valley Orientation

Introducing Jenny Wentz…Executive Director of Leadership Susquehanna Valley

The setting was perfect. Last Thursday morning the temperature was cool, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, the coffee was hot and robust, the pastries were fresh and flakey, the view out every window was majestic, and Jenny was in charge.

And, with that, the 2023 Class of Leadership Susquehanna Valley was launched. Transitioning from a class that was, by-and-large, pulled together by Jenny’s predecessor, Chris Berleth, could not have been easier or smoother. Jenny has served as the Assistant LSV Executive Director for several years and has worked closely with both Jenny Daddario and with Chris.

A Class of 2016 LSV graduate, Jenny has literally done every task related to operating this large, respected, and well-established experiential leader development program. Now, all that experience and training is really paying off.

Congratulations Jenny! With your graceful, steady approach, along with your dynamic enthusiasm and pioneering spirit, we know for sure that ‘Our best days lie just ahead.’

LSV-First day Jitters

Quick question: What do the members of the LSV Class of 2023, and your local Kindergartener have in common? Answer: First day jitters.

But seriously, there were few, if any, apparent ‘first day jitters’ last Thursday when the 27th class, the Class of ’23, kicked off this year’s session of Leadership Susquehanna Valley.

Now, with more than 700 graduates of this program, LSV has firmly created what its founders considered to be its main function: To create a ‘farm team’ of able, capable, trained, and willing local residents to run for public office, serve on boards and commissions, and to offer leadership whenever and wherever it might be needed in our valley.

Stay tuned over the coming nine months as this year’s class of emerging leaders move through the program.

Thank you to the class members for giving your time and talents to honing your leadership skills. To sponsors and supporters of this year’s scholars, a sincere thanks for your investment in this critical program. We, quite literally, couldn’t do it without you.

LSV-Nutritious

Leadership development and good nutrition go perfectly together.

On behalf of Leadership Susquehanna Valley and the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, a word of thanks to the Indian Hills Golf Club for hosting last week’s LSV Class of 2023 Orientation.

The location was perfect, the room was conducive to interaction and learning, and the food and drinks were marvelous.

If you haven’t been over to Indian Hills lately, you need to travel over to Paxinos for a visit soon. The links are green, challenging and inviting. The dining room is open to the public, the meals are memorable, and the hospitality is always warm and welcoming.
