Kreamer Feed Jubilee

Celebrating seventy-five years of doing anything is a big deal.

Throw in a pair of Congressmen, Pennsylvania’s top ag guy-PA Secretary of Agriculture, Russ Redding, and three generations of descendants of George and Doris Robinson for good measure, and the next thing you know a festival could break out.

That’s exactly what happened on Saturday morning in the field directly behind the Kreamer Feed Mill. Your Chamber hosted a ‘red carpet ribbon cutting’ to cap off the morning’s presentations. While Jason Robinson kept the presentations flowing as our Master of Ceremonies and the whole group snipped the ribbon, over a hundred folks enjoyed a delicious lunch of chicken bar-be-que with all the fixin’s.

To give you a sample of the Robinson Family story and to learn more about the impressive history and legacy of Kreamer Feed here’s a snippet from their website. There’s a fantastic short video that you also might want to watch about Kreamer Feed which you can access by clicking HERE.

“Doris and George began their family in 1953 and all seven children earned their spending money by working at the feed mill or raising poultry. The financial worth of both his personal and business assets was just over $17,000 that year. In 1956, the company began their adventure in poultry contracting and today, works closely with their sister company BJE Poultry, a farm and poultry contracting business located steps from the doors of what is now ‘Kreamer Feed.’ The beauty of the partnership between BJE Poultry and Kreamer Feed is that each of the businesses is the other’s largest customer."
