“Heavenly.” Now that’s high praise, and coming from a lifelong golfer, we will take it. Last Friday’s Annual Young Americans Golf Tournament was a huge success. When I chatted with Dan Mahoney, winner of the longest drive competition, after the tournament and asked him for his honest assessment, his response: “Heavenly,” was the perfect cap for a wonderful day.
First, our thanks to the Knoebel family and the wonderful staff at Knoebel’s Three Ponds. Golf Course Manager, Matson Pierce and his fabulous crew always roll out the welcome mat for us in ways that impress everyone involved.
A special note of thanks and fond best wishes to our old friend Dick Knoebel, who we didn’t get to speak with at this year’s tournament, but who was foremost in our thoughts. Dick was recently awarded a lifetime achievement ‘Gold Ticket Legend’ which deserves a full throated Oorah! for the example he sets for all of us.
