Happy New Month—Summer Wind Down—Get Ready for Fall

As August unfolds, we find ourselves in that golden moment between the lazy days of summer and the energizing promise of fall. Here at the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, we’re taking full advantage of this season of transition with a robust lineup of events and opportunities to engage, connect, and celebrate.
We kick off the month with Woofstock, our first annual celebration of dogs, people, and community, on Saturday, August 23rd in Kulpmont. This family-friendly festival features live music, pet vendors, and treats for both two- and four-legged attendees.
Our August Monthly Membership Meeting will spotlight the newly recast Agriculture Committee, emphasizing the critical link between our region’s agricultural heritage and its future prosperity.
September brings our ever-popular Young Americans Golf Outing on Thursday, September 12th, supporting scholarships and youth leadership development. That month’s membership meeting will highlight the efforts of our Business and Education Committee, bridging the gap between classroom and career.
In October, mark your calendar for the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, October 22nd, where we’ll honor outstanding businesses and community leaders.
Looking ahead, November brings the return of our Athena Women’s Leadership Symposium, a day of inspiration, learning, and connection. And though it may feel far off, don’t forget our Holiday Party, scheduled for early January—a cheerful way to toast to another year of shared success.
As always, the Chamber website (gsvcc.org) is your resource for more information and to reserve your spot at each and all of these fantastic events.
There’s something for everyone this season as we wind down summer and lean into a purpose-filled fall. By working together, our best days lie just ahead.
