Chamber Board Charts a Bold Course for 2026 and Beyond
This past Tuesday morning, the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors gathered for an intensive strategic planning session setting the stage for another year of bold leadership and regional progress. The half-day session, facilitated by Ian Proud, a seasoned consultant with the Bucknell University Small Business Development Center, focused on defining clear priorities and measurable goals for the year ahead.
Under Proud’s skilled guidance, the Chamber’s leadership team engaged in thoughtful discussion and honest assessment of the region’s opportunities and challenges. Together, they refined the Chamber’s strategic direction to ensure that every initiative continues to serve the Valley’s employers, employees, and communities effectively.
A key outcome of the session was the Chamber’s renewed commitment to providing innovative and effective workforce solutions, recognizing that a strong workforce is the cornerstone of regional prosperity. From supporting youth leadership and career readiness programs to collaborating with employers on upskilling and recruitment, the Chamber will continue to drive practical solutions to today’s workforce challenges.
Additionally, the Board reaffirmed its dedication to strengthening Governmental Affairs and public policy engagement, ensuring that the voices of our Valley’s businesses remain influential in shaping state and local decisions that impact economic growth and opportunity.
Members and guests are warmly invited to join us for the 104th Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony to learn more about this re-focused strategic plan and how it will guide our work throughout 2026. The event will feature key updates, community recognition, and forward-looking conversations about our region’s future. Register today at gsvcc.org.
This strategic planning session not only set clear goals but also re-energized the Chamber’s leadership team around its central mission: to be a catalyst, convener, and champion for regional prosperity. As the Chamber turns these plans into action, members and partners can look forward to a year of innovation, collaboration, and measurable results, because, as always, by working together, our best days lie just ahead.
