Annual Meeting Postponed
Life Happens While We’re Making Other Plans
By Bob Garrett, President & CEO, Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce
There’s an old saying, often attributed to John Lennon: “Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans.”
Well, we got nipped by Mr. Lennon’s wisdom earlier this week when we realized that our 2025 Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony was being overtaken by holiday travel plans and other end-of-year commitments for many of our members.
Taking a cue from that timeless quote about life’s unexpected twists, we’re choosing to embrace the journey and not just the destination (nor the date, in this case). With that in mind, we’re rescheduling our Annual Meeting to late March 2026. The exact date and details are still being finalized, so stay tuned for our official announcement soon.
Please see Chad’s Corner below for a few more Annual Meeting updates. And please know that I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause you or your colleagues.
As we turn the page to a brand-new year, we do so with renewed energy and optimism. 2026 will be filled with Chamber events and activities designed to deliver the opportunities and value that our members and sponsors have come to expect for more than a century of working together.
P.S. While John Lennon is often credited for that wonderful quote, it was actually first penned by Allen Saunders in a 1957 issue of Reader’s Digest.
