From Where I Sit…

A reasonable downriver paddle, in brightly colored kayaks, followed by a party hosted by the Greater Susquehanna Valley Young Professionals…might just be the perfect way to spend a late summer afternoon.
We thought so too and wanted to invite you to join us. Please consider paddling along with the Greater Susquehanna Valley Young Professionals for a day on the water while giving back at our Annual Paddle Party this Saturday, August 24th.
The details are a pre-launch meeting and water safety briefing at 2:45pm. Then you’ll launch along with several dozen other river enthusiasts at 3pm. Should be back to Bic’s Water Sports between 4:30 to 5:00 pm. For experienced ‘Paddle Partiers’ please note that when we mention this return time, it’s because this year we’re taking a longer route. Last year’s river run was just two miles. This year, you’ll get to enjoy four miles of the beautiful West Branch of the Susquehanna River. Then a post-paddle party (BYOB) runs until 7:00 pm.
Please click here to register and feel free to email to zstotter@gsvcc.org with any questions about the event. Don't forget your hat and sunscreen.
Beau Hoffman, Owner/Operator at Bic’s reports that the river has calmed down from the recent rains. He predicts that everyone will have the opportunity to network while enjoying the perfect pace of nature safely paddling the Susquehanna.
A big "thank you" goes out to our main sponsor, Kelly RV Inc, who'll be onsite displaying their rugged Encore RV's, National Beef for being our cookout sponsor, and W and S Distributors for providing a beverage sampling!
