For the Money Matters Monday-On The Mark radio show on WKOK 1070AM, our focus was on the Chamber’s recently named Star of Excellence honoree, Sara Snyder. Sara is a manager with Shared Support, Inc. This company is a leading provider of services to people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our area. Additionally, she just wrapped her service as the Immediate Past President of Leadership Susquehanna Valley. It’s very impressive that Sara was the Chamber’s 2023 Young Professional of the Year and our Star of Excellence this year.
During the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony, a highlight is always the announcement of the honorees for the various awards. These awards are the Young Professional of the Year, Star of Excellence, Heritage, Small Business of the Year, and Business of the Year.
The Chamber’s Star of Excellence Award is given annually to a Chamber volunteer who distinguished him or herself in going above and beyond to fulfill the Chamber’s mission of bettering the economy and business environment of the Greater Susquehanna Valley.
As an LSV leader Sara stands out as being an inclusive and caring leader. She’s mission focused and a leader who grows those around her and gives 100% to everything she does. A core team member in revitalizing the Young Professionals, Sara has helped to make YP events the kind you don’t want to miss. Especially when she brings dessert.
Sara does so much for free that it’s easy to forget she also works a full-time job as the Risk Manager and Employment Specialist at Shared Support. Sara uses her connections across the community to help place the individuals they support in the right jobs in your business. Additionally, she operates her own baking business, Sara’s Sweeties.
Well done, Sara. By working together as a strategically-focused Chamber, our best days lie just ahead.
