The respected firm, Rasmussen Reports, released data from a poll conducted last week of 1,000 American Adults indicating that, “By more than a four-to-one margin, Americans say our nation’s problem with opioid drugs is getting worse, not better. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 44% of American Adults believe the opioid drug crisis has gotten worse over the past year. Just 10% think it’s gotten better, while 29% say the opioid problem has stayed about the same. Another 16% are not sure.”
We all know that finger pointing and playing the ‘blame game’ at critical times, such as these, is not helpful. Your Chamber is happy to partner up with our local United Way to promote the next Free Naloxone Distribution Event to be held on Tuesday, August 16th from 9:00-10:00 am at 36 East Main Street in Bloomsburg.
The United Way wants everyone to know that “Opioid overdose is reversible. Save a life. Carry naloxone.” United in Recovery has organized this free community-based giveaway event. Please visit cmcuw.org for more details.
