Dear Chamber Members, Volunteers and Friends,
For over six years, it has been my distinct honor, pleasure, and privilege to serve as a staff member of the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, and to work on your behalf to advance prosperity in the region.
During this time, I’ve watched monumental change unfold before my eyes including: the groundbreaking and now completion of the northern section of the CSVT, the conversion from gas to coal of the Hummel Station power plant, the building of the Sunbury Pipeline, the expansion in earnest of broadband, and the determination of the region’s businesses to thrive despite a global pandemic.
I’ve photographed or stood alongside nearly 100 businesses as they cut the ribbon on their new facilities, celebrated meaningful anniversaries, or broke ground on expansions. I’ve watched community leaders, legislators, and business owners rally together to advance a mission of prosperity for a unified Greater Susquehanna Valley, and I’ve had the chance to play a small role in what I’d like to think the Chamber does best – convening the right people, at the right time, in the right place, to make meaningful change.
My heart swells as I think of the many great people who love this community and have shown it through volunteerism, through participation in Leadership Susquehanna Valley, and through intentionality in Chamber engagement. Thank you.
Thank you to each one of you for six years of meaningful, rewarding work, support, and friendship.
Thank you to the countless friends, mentors, colleagues, and leaders who helped me to grow. I’d like to especially thank the Chamber and LSV Boards of Directors, Bob Garrett, and Jenny Wentz.
May the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber be a blessing to many, many businesses for decades to come and may the ever-present vision of Bob Garrett come to pass that our best days lie ahead.
Sincerely,
Chris Berleth
