About Us
As a private, 501(c) 3 charitable organization headquartered in Shamokin, Central Susquehanna Opportunities is responsible for providing Workforce Investment Act (WIA) services to the public within the CareerLink® system. The ultimate goal of workforce development programs is to secure stable family-sustaining employment. Central Susquehanna Opportunities serves as the Community Action Agency for Northumberland, Montour and Columbia counties. By analyzing the needs of the area and developing support services, this arm of the organization provides the tools needed to enable people to overcome barriers to self-sufficiency.
