DESCRIPTION:In partnership with Chamber members Sue and Roger Sheesley\, owners of Tom's Eatery at Fox Crossing in Mount Pleasant Mills\, Mike Kaminski will host a special Book Signing event in the Chamber boardroom. Mike will give a presentation of his book "Life After Russian Roulette"\, followed by a brief Q & A and book signing. Among the activities\, a raffle of his signed book will be given.\n\n\n\nLight refreshments will be offered by Tom's Eatery at Fox Crossing.\n\n \n\nMichael B. Kaminski was born in Baltimore\, Maryland. After graduation from high school\, he entered The United States Air Force and was assigned to Washington\, DC before being granted a transfer to South East Asia and Vietnam. After his discharge\, he worked for The Bureau of Customs in Washington\, D.C. as a graphic artist.\n\n \n\nIn 1973\, he joined the Baltimore City Police Department\, first working foot patrol before he joined the Anne Arundel County Police Department in 1974. Shortly after a year on patrol\, he was transferred into the Vice and Narcotics unit and\, for the next three and one-half years\, he lived and worked undercover in drug groups and organized crime associations.\n\n \n\nAfter resigning from the police department\, he created a private investigative agency. This experience led him into seminary and eventual ordination. As an ordained minister\, he served in parish ministry until he became a drug and alcohol treatment specialist for a local government agency.\n\n \n\nAfter his wife died in 2005\, he created an organization that still works in community education and awareness to issues pertaining to women: Domestic Violence\, Sexual Abuse\, Eating Disorders and Discrimination. Along with this organization and ministry\, in the past couple years\, he has created and published two magazines.\n\n \n\nCurrently\, Mike Kaminski lives in a small community in Central Pennsylvania and is working on his next book\, SHARON'S LIGHT. He is also working with a producer and screenwriter in Hollywood on a television script and movie screenplay for LIFE AFTER RUSSIAN ROULETTE. Kaminski has three college/university degrees in Political Science\, Criminal Justice\, and a Masters is in Theology with a minor in Psychology.
